MMcGuirk
The Stand 21 Foundation would like to invite Shelby owners to a free safety seminar onApril 16 at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Anyone connected to motorsports should attend, from drivers to their families and team.Attendance could literally save their life. From 9:30 am – 1:30 pm, the seminar will provide practical advice about health and safety at the track, from internationally recognized experts. Attendees will hear from: · Danny Sullivan – Indy 500 Winner · Del Worsham – NHRA Champion · Dr. Terry Trammell – IRL and CART Medical · Dr. Steve Olvey – IndyCar Medical Advisor · Jacques Dallaire, Phd – Performance Prime · SFI and Snell Foundation Topics will include: · Brain Concussions · Helmet Selection, Fitting, and Safe Removal · Head and Neck Restraint Devices · The Dangers of Low Hydration and Heat Stress · Sharpening Your Mental Game The foundation designed this event to promote motor racing safety in collaboration with medical and scientific organizations, as well as with major racing series (IndyCar, FIA, SFI, NHRA, SCTA, SCCA, SCORE, etc.). The reason? The need for safety has climbed dramatically. In 1970, only a few thousand racecar drivers competed worldwide. Today, the community is closer to 1.5 million participants, with a large majority being part-time amateur drivers. This important seminar, including lunch, is FREE but space is limited so pre-registration is required. Please note that Long Beach track admission is also necessary; reduced-price one-day tickets are available from the Foundation. Those in attendance can stay after the Seminar to watch the afternoon Toyota Grand Prix at Long Beach track events.
