Just wanted to introduce myself to everybody. Bought my 1st Shelby late last fall- 2012 Gt 500, blk/blk/red stripe SVTPP, Nav, Recaros, glass roof with 6500 miles but put 700 mi. before corralling for winter. Has side scoops but completely stock otherwise. That being said, dress up or power mods? Thanks.

Welcome to Team Shelby and congratulations on your new Shelby my fellow Connecticut resident! Sounds like a sweet ride! Post some pics of it when you get a chance!

If you want more power, there's plenty left on the table. A Stage 2 kit is the best bang for your buck. Includes a cold-air induction, smaller supercharger pulley and a performance tune. It will bring you up to the 635HP (550 wheel) range for a definite improvement. Where do you cruise in CT? I usually go to Mark's Cruise on Monday nights and the Berlin Turnpike on the weekends.

Welcome fellow CT Shelby owner. I must agree with Secondo on power mods. Mark's Auto Parts is always a good time and check out Panera Bread on the Berlin Turnpike. Hope to see you at a local show. Love the glass roof. -Kevin

Thank you all. I haven't had a cruise "kind" of car, just daily drivers. I guess the closest would have been a 66 GTO when I was in my teens, but being a typical teen, I didn't have a clue. I did have a 300C SRT a few years ago but sold for a G. Cherokee Overland. I should be good to go now.

Few more pics. Since my mechanical skills are fairly limited, where in Ct. or close by, is a reputable shop to giddy up the pony? I know Tasca in R.I., but will they put on customer supplied parts? Ive read about VMP and Revan but I would need pro install. Also read ( lots of bad) about Jannetty in Waterbury. So there's my quandary. Any suggestions very welcome.

Thanks.

David

I don't want to make it seem like I was kid on Christmas morning but I registered car with Shelby before the car even arrived since title was fedexed overnite to me before car. Ok it was like Christmas, I sat on curb waiting for transport. Thanks anyway.

Be careful at TASCA FORD in RI and the mod shop . My car is currently there for a super snake hood install and I was lied to by Denis Gomes . He quoted me a price with stripes and now that the car is finished ready for stripes he's saying he never included It in price . I was lied to. Brought it to Bob Tascas attention and he lied to bob Tasca also saying he never said that . They will make promises until you get in the door beware.
