Carroll Shelby Foundation Question

Recommended Posts

I have tried calling, no one answers the phone and I have Emailed but no answer yet SOOOOOO...............

I have several Items signed by Carroll Shelby that came with the COA. All of the COA's are in a File locked away. My question IS: Is there a way to find out which COA goes with which Item? I thought I remember reading some where that there is no record to show what number COA went with a certain item.

Someone wants to buy one of my items and I am not sure which COA to give him.

From my recollection there is no way of telling. Not sure it matters. I used to send a disposable camera along to have a picture taken of the signing, but on occasion it wouldn't come back. Id say just pick one.

Sounds about right as the quantity of signatures done by CS at car shows, fund raisers and at the shop probably prevented numbering, tracking and filing the COA. Many items in the early years of the Foundation (first known as the CS Children's Heart Foundation) did not get COA. In the later years, especially after the release of the GT500 series, CS was going into the office to do over 50 signatures a day.

The COA's that the Children's Foundation would send back with the Signed Items were numbered and Dated using a Stamp with either Red Ink or Black Ink, most of mine are with Red Ink but a few have Black Ink. A couple even have the Number on the Date Line and the Date on the Number Line...........

I have been thinking about doing a Registry for the COA's. Thinking possibly after enough is received I would do a Printed Version. I would just have to figure out when I would have time to do it................ :whistling:
