BamBam605
There are a number threads out there on other forums on how to install these so I’ll keep it short. I bought this set on Ebay from seller usdipi for $210 with free shipping. These are the genuine Ford Racing lighted door sill plates that have been discontinued. The best “how to” thread I came across to install these can be found at this link. You may have to cut and paste this link in order to get it to work. http://mustangforums.com/forum/2005-2014-mustangs/575962-lighted-door-sills-long-and-informative-install-with-pics-3.html The OP took some flak for not mentioning a supposedly easier method of tapping into the wires in the back of the SJB (smart junction box), which is located behind the passenger side kick panel. I was planning to use the SJB, but took one look at all the cables and connectors going in and out of it and decided against that. Tapping the wires at the connector in the A-Pillar per FR’s included instructions is really easy. The A-Pillar trim comes loose with a simple grab a pull method. You don’t have to completely remove the trim piece. Once it’s loose you just need to pull it up and towards you a bit to expose the connector. You tap into the green/yellow and black/blue wires at the connector which power the interior dome lights. The door sills function the same as the interior lights, that is they come on when the door is opened and go off when it is closed. I think they look really good although still a bit pricey. They are, however, very well made and match the OEM ones perfectly. Sorry for the lousy cell phone pics, but you get the idea.
