Hi Guys,

I would like to get some feedback on a set of GT500 Carbon Snake original Shelby engine caps which were originally bought through SPP.

These are I believe the ones made by Scott Drake and are no longer available. The set I have are take offs from my car and I have a friend who is interested in buying them and I really do not have any idea of their value,so this is where my fellow TS friends can help give me some idea of their worth!!!

I can't say that I have seen these up for grabs too often and I see lots of other caps and sets up on SPP eBay web site (various types but usually SS &SGT) which individually go for crazy dollars,so for a complete set of these I'm really not sure of their worth!!!

I certainly would appreciate you guys giving me input on this, thanks to all who reply in advance!!!!!!

A pic of the cap design would help everyone be able to give an exact recommendation.

I have a terrible time trying to get pictures onto this site, but I can tell you that they are all engraved with the carbon snake in red and the Shelby lettering across it in black with black engraved lettering on the caps as well with power steering or brake fluid etc etc on each cap denoting its fluid tank! I hope that helps a bit more.

These polished caps were widely available through SPP for many years and look the same as the caps that come on the Super Snakes.

I find that this is the easiest Forum site to up load Photos to, a LOT easier than the SAAC site and many others.

There is a set available on E-bay now, but you need to purchase all the caps and the dip stick handle individually.....at about $200 per cap!!!!!!

Obviously the E-bay seller has inflated his prices, but I would say the full set is worth at least $600 to the right buyer, and maybe more. Thank goodness I already have a set that I bought a long time ago. I didn't pay anywhere near that price, and I wondered if I had overpaid at that point. Guess not.

That's the set I was thinking of as well. What is throwing me off is his use of the words "Carbon Snake".
