rudder
This was my first time attending a convention and my first time photographing cars. I guess it's fitting that my first post on these forums be the pictures I took (Better late than never). I really enjoyed the Convention and learned a lot about the cars themselves. For the photography nuts: Shot with a Nikon 300mm 2.8 on a D7100, Edited in LightRoom. Z-man
Is it okay to talk about "SAAC"on TS ? Or is it forbidden ? Is that a joke? Both clubs have the same interests at heart....a love of the Shelby marque. In the northeast region of Team Shelby, as well as in the Northern California region, Team Shelby and SAAC try to work together and cross promote each other's events. Everybody wins that way? Z-man
Well said. I am a long time member of both great organizations. SAAC40 was a blast and there were a good number of TS members there enjoying the track and car shows. I was at SAAC-40 as well, and also saw many TS members and cars with TS stickers on them. Everyone was having a good time, admiring each others cars, and telling stories....even took 3rd place in my car show class. Heck, Shelby American even joined us and brought out the prototype 2016 Shelby GT for a little fun. Good times!!!! Z-man
mikeljgt500kr
In my experience, the relationship between SAAC and TS is strained at best to many members.

Old baggage.....let it go and you'll be much happier. Is the relationship perfect? No. Is it better then it once was, and getting better as time goes on? Yes. Do some regions "play" better than others? Apparently so. Can't we all just get along?......and enjoy what Carroll created for all us enthusiasts? Z-man .....now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

I think all clubs should live harmoniously, get along with one another, and be allies to one another. Wash away any insecurities, and work together for the good of all automotive enthusiasts. It's all about seeing the "Big Picture" !

I agree it would be nice to all get along, but SAAC 40 showed me that is easier said than done, the organizations just have such very different purposes and members' interests, not to mention the old baggage, which is still carried around by many. tomshep
Old school believes their vintage cars are the real Shelbys. Problem is, they are getting old and dying (this is the truth) and need young blood to help fund their events and keep the enthusiasm alive. It is a forced relationship. Hopefully, it will continue and get better over time. Tom
shelbypt
Is it okay to talk about "SAAC"on TS ? Or is it forbidden ? If it's Shelby related, it's alright in my book!! I'm not aware of a feud going on between the two. In fact, I'm a member of both. What do you think?
