ShelbyKR664
Decided to paint the garage to match the KR. I liked it so much I am planning to completely redo the front work bench and peg wall as well. Always something to do! Helge Ruchelski
That looks great! I wanted to do the same to the front wall of my garage in the black and gold, but never got around to it. This might light the fire under my butt...
ShelbyKR664
Thanks. I will work on the floor next. Trying to decided between tile or epoxy. Edited April 2, 2015 by ShelbyKR664
Mustangcollector
Nice job for sure. Epoxy is great for floors, and I did both my garages with it and I do recommend it. One thing you could do with epoxy is put the color coat down and then out a giant Cobra, KR, or other Shelby sticker down before putting the clear epoxy coat on top...would look great. Word of advice for epoxy though, if you have any oil spots in the existing concrete make sure you really clean them with the acid wash prior to rolling epoxy down. And, if you have any cracks in the concrete make sure you fill them so that the epoxy doesn't lift up and crack off. Ask me how I know. springer
Epoxy base coat, top coat in clear urethane. Been there, done it! Urethane will protect the epoxy from UV and other elements. I had mine professionally done three years ago and it still looks fresh as the day it was painted.

ShelbyKR664
Thanks for the advice MC and Springer. Is there a particular brand you would recommend? I heard the kits you can buy at HD or Lowes are inferior to products such as U-Coat it.

AlaskanKR
Ak, what brand of floor coating did you use? That floor must stay cold in AK! I used the Rust-Oleum Epoxy Shield kit. I've used it in my last three garages. And yes, that floor does get mighty cold. AK.
ShelbyKR664
Looks good. Are the kr letters painted on or 3d? I cut them out of wood, sanded them, then painted. I used a common jig saw.

Aslo, we have the same license vanity plate SHELB KR. I'm jealous. We only get six characters here in Alaska and Shelby was taken so I just have "KR" I'm sure no body up here gets it. AK.
