I thought you guys were going to push this into May due to the weather you encountered last year? Any chance you can reconsider the dates? I'd hate to miss this due to spring break family trip (again).

The weather was a factor last year, however, we couldn't have a rain date due to timing of the 50th celebration in Charlotte.

May happens to be a busy month for myself and some others, hence maintaining the April time frame.

Then I'm a MAYBE again this year with a high likelihood of missing out.

Scott, could we push the date back one week April 26-27 and rain date May 3-4. This could help out Viper?

First 3 weekends in May are already busy with work related conference and my sons wedding.

Scott,

I've put in for the time off for the 20th & 21st, I just hope the weather cooperates that weekend because my schedule will not allow for a trip the following weekend.

Now I have something to look forward too this spring.... :shift:

Any time frame when you'll be posting the details such as arrival time Saturday for dinner or which hotels?

Carl

Only way I will be able to make this trip is if it defaults to the rain date. I'm leaving for family vacation on the 19th. Might as well scratch me off the list for now.

Scott,

Are the hotel rooms held under an event name for a group rate?

Hotel info updated with singles vs. doubles and group rate for Super 8. Note March 13 cutoff for group rate.

Microtel has too many restrictions with group rates.

Not sure of me going to make it, but would love to celebrate my birthday again with my fellow Shelby brothers on this trip like past years.

Will have to work hard on trying to go...

and NO Don, not racing you again this year..... :whistling:

That is to bad Jim......I was hoping to make this a annual race event. Those cookies that Jean makes turns me into a racing cookie monster. :bliss: I'll just have to find somebody else to race with while eating those good cookies. :play:

Scott, Jenny saw that Sonny's is permanently closed. You might want to check it out.

We'll be closely monitoring the weather about a week out.

How much time would you need?

I cannot make the scheduled dates, but if you were to move it to the rain dates, then there is the possibility I would be able to make it. I'm just trying to get a feel for when I should watch for updates.

Hmmmm, gives Jean plenty of time to bake cookies

Make sure she has a baggie for me.................. Talked to Jim on Saturday and told him Scott, I and Don had been working on the 3rd annual and something would be posted real soon. He said Scott did it already. Just got off phone with Scott and he was laughing so hard and said yes.............he forgot to tell me.

Here we go again all. Lets have fun and remember I need my own bag of cookies.
