ColdwaterHotrod
If you OWN or are thinking of getting a Convertible, you must read this article on the crash ratings & see the photos of the crash dummies. Be safe now, you hear! http://www.themustangnews.com/carnews_07/st-0607-iihs.htm

Pig
Thanks for posting this Coldwater. I've been wanting to find this info as my wife & all her family have all asked me how "safe" the car is being a convertible. Thats messed up how the dummy's head bottomed out the airbag, and at only 40mph. And smacking the a-pillar would probably hurt a lil too. I wonder if I can get the fix for mine. I guess my wife's argument for a roll bar wouldn't really help in either of those situations. In a rollover yes, but which is more likely, rollover or head-on? Does anyone have info on rollover stats? The side impact was good, although it would be nice if there were rear side airbags as my kids ride along with me a lot. They love it! I always try to drive safely, but you never know what someone else is going to do.
