Bryan, I finally got my 2007 Mustang GT to our local dragstrip (Pacific Raceways) for the very first time tonight. Just got home a little bit ago. I'll start a new thread about my techniques and my timeslips; perhaps you'll pick up some pointers there before you head out to your local track tomorrow.

Personally, I would be delighted with mid 13's in my car because all I have is the drag pack and the GT500 wheels on my vert. I think five-ohs times are great and would be very happy with anything below 13.25 if I were driving the Rufstang.

Thanks, Five-Oh! I'm not going this afternoon - it's about 95 degrees. Whew.

I know it, Mark. I'm just basing 12's on what my tech thinks it ought to run. :shift:

I did some launches this morning - seems like between 2500 and 3000 works the best. I get a few feet of spin - then hook. I only get a chirp in 2nd. I don't powershift.

Yep - it pulls like the secondaries (!) open at about 4k! After the cam install, dyno tuner raised the limiter to 6500.

Hp/tq graphs climb steadily right up to 6500.

Since low end power is down, the 4:10's help get the car off the line quicker. Subsequent upshifts keep the engine in the sweet spot.

I'm taking the hood insulation off this weekend so we can better hear the beast within!

And - compared to the 19" Toyo TR-1's - these KDW's feel like slicks!

If your over 50 you should launch just as you see last two yellows. (Only trying to help)

John F as a personal friend told me, he leaves on the first light .....you know, just in case........ :hysterical2:

Listen here, Mod Boy - John only gets one light!

And - Ashely has my respect. Hear?

When are you going to take your Pro Stock to the strip?

By the way, how about some pics of all these mods? :happy feet:

My confidence level is at an all-time low - I think it's due to The Wall.

There.

The Wall?

We don't need no drivers education

We don't need no traction control

No dark sarcasm in the Mustang forum

Everyone leave poor Ruf alone
