How is it possible to get both the SS and 40th package? I would think there could only be one badge on the car .

I think they said that the 40th will have the badging etc, but you can get some of the upgraded parts for the SS to customize it.

I don't know if you can get full 40th and SS. I suspect if you've the money, they will do anything you want and then give the option to get whatever badging you want. I know that I talked with John and confirmed that I would be getting the 40th with the SS performance upgrades, i.e., new S/C, pulley, gears, and suspension.

I hope you guys will find this poll interesting. It's my first poll post, so I hope it goes ok.

JR - This is a good poll.

That being said, I've mentioned this on another thread earlier. In 20 years it is going to be confusing "at best" to know what exactly you are purchasing or bidding on. There will be so many variables and different levels to packages - who knows what it really is, or was.

Then, factor all the cloning into the equation and the complexity of verifying authenticity explodes.

Just my opinion.

i am more then a liitle disgusted with the tone and how some of the comments are directed at Amy Boylan. I doubt that many of you would send an e mail to a co worker or a superior with the tone that some are directed at Amy. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing on any topic but do it in the same manner that you would disagree with a co worker etc. Acting this way will benefit every body on the site. We are all lucky that Amy still posts on this site after some of the comments that have been posted. If you dont like the color of the stripes on the SS dont buy the package or do buy the package but lets not forget it is shelbys right to make the SS package with any color stripes they want. Lets clean up the wayy some of us post e mails to Amy .

The Shelby Registry will have the VIN# listed with any offical Shelby parts added to the vehicle thereby solving the authenticity problem for any buyer resourceful enough to check. This has the added advantage of making it possible for any Shelby to be virtually "one of a kind"... though all the options are available to anyone you may have the only vehicle with a particular combination of options, color, etc... Considering the amount we hope one would be paying for a Shelby 20 years from now I would hope a buyer would want to do his/her homework. If not the old addage about a fool and his money comes to mind :)

Hmmmmmmm. I can only vote once.

Any moderators out there have a clue?

On another poll I did, after I 'updated' it, it permitted voting again from scratch. (I must have done something wrong tho, because it also wiped out all prior votes in the counters) So, possibly that's it, in which case your second vote may be the one actually reflected in the nums -- dunno.

Good poll! (even tho no vote here  <lol>)
