A lot better than the new, unimpressive Italian looking thing that they call a GT40, just debut at the auto show this morning.

You can get one a lot cheaper.

twobjshelbys
So this one wont be in the Registry? I don't know why they wouldn't be. They are a SPF car which are recognized as legit continuation cars. I don't know how many of the Shelby 85th were actually built. These specific ones might have a string of their own. Maybe Steve knows. I seem to recall that the one of these that was at the museum in Vegas was sold at BJ as a roller without power train. I think it is this one: http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Archive/Event/Item/2008-FORD-GT40-MKII-COUPE-ROLLING-CHASSIS-90003

David Hawkins
Did I read that price right $88,000 seems cheap for that car. Actually, that is a good Price for it considering...................... "......has never been driven and is set up to accept a period correct Ford 427 F.E. engine and a ZF or RBT transaxle; the drivetrain is not included with the car." Also, didn't those sell for just a little more than that back then as Drivers?
