Masterchief77
Hello so I just recently bought a Shelby. 2011 it has a big intake already but it's running 700rwhp apparently and has an X-pipe with stock mufflers and no cats. I preiviously owned a 2008 mustang get with bassani exhaust and had X-Pipe. I loved every bit of it and I'm trying to figure out what would be similar to do for an axle back. But I'm not doing bassani for the 2011 Shelby cause I herd they made changes and it isn't as good. Can anyone help me out??
1 Alibi 2
Welcome to TS, congrats & good luck with the new ride. . Does the car have long tubes ? If so, the stock mufflers may be there so it isn't so loud you can't drive it. ( have LT's, catted X pipes, & stock mufflers on both of mine ) You can go on line, there are plenty of sound clips of exhaust systems. Masterchief77
Not that I know of. What kinda long tube headers you have? Kooks? Just the X pipe and stock mufflers I think

1 Alibi 2
Not that I know of. What kinda long tube headers you have? Kooks? Just the X pipe and stock mufflers I think . Kooks on both, 1 3/4" on the 11, 1 7/8" on the 14. I live in an inspection state, ( N.J. ), so cats are a must. Kooks sells what they call " green " cats, 49 state legal for emissions. Both cars are slightly louder than stock.......................till you put your foot down.
SHLBY EH
Personally am a fan of Borla exhaust. Both Mustangs have Borla and I love it. Stingers on the Mach 1 and Borla S on the Shelby, pure ear candy to me.
Dismantle
I am running the following and love the sound. http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypebomb-axelback-0510.html
Chris Freudenreich
I live in long island and looking for a shop to install long tube headers and tune my 2011 GT 500. Any suggestions? How much should that cost me?
kawwy600
I noticed you said your car has 700rwhp with an intake. In my honest opinion it will be hard to find an accurate sound clip online unless you know what type of supercharger swap the previous owner performed. The change in forced induction will change the sound of the exhaust
32V-SVT
I have a set of Bassani axle backs I'm selling. Bassani part # 5411SR5 They were only on the car for about a month and are in excellent condition. I'm asking $350 plus shipping. I would suggest Fedex economy if your interested. Give me your zip code and I can let you know how much. Thanks, -George
AFdude10
Why are you getting rid of them? What was the difference in sound from stock?
Geoffrey McCash 50962
I had Bassani on my 99 cobra and really liked the sound. My 2012 has the Borla S type on it. The Borla is much better on sound.slightly louder than stock under normal acceleration until you mash the pedal, then all hell comes out of the back end.
