Just saw this on ebay. 08 Vista blue KR with 1300 miles and a reserve price of just 40,000 USD:

According to the description and the pictures, the owner also has a silver and a black 08 (both less than 100 miles) for sale.

Regards,

Florian

His reserve is what? $40K? How do you know that? That's the starting bid.

There is a Red KR going to auction at Mecum in 2 weeks in Austin.

IMHO he should wait to see what the red KR at Mecum brings before he throws his KR under the bus. Reading his add it seems like he is in a rush to sell to make "room for his new toy". Seems like he is having a clearance on the other two KRs he has also which he clearly bought for investment which hasn't panned out for him yet and he wants to obviously "unload" these KR's and move on. Looks like there will be some lucky buyers out there.

No reserve on a Vista with low, low miles, definitely "collector condition".....................Let's all watch to see where this one goes in the current market, there is no "shill bidding" to worry about with a no reserve auction, however, if the price is not going where the seller wants, the auction could be ended early and no one would really know what happened. I like that color combo, I'm sure others do also. This car "should" go high. What a nice present under the tree!!

Last KR that went to auction at Mecum was a torch red with about 5500 miles. Sold all in for $66k.

That Vista should bring that and more with 1300 miles.

He reserved the right to end it if he doesn't like where it's going. Hope that KR doesn't end up under the bus since my impression is he's running a clearance to make room for "his new toy".

Special car.

This KR was on eBay back in 2012 from the same seller, mileage then was listed at 83 and was represented as never being titled. The ebay ad at that time said the seller was the "caretaker of the estate".

Steve

UPDATE: Sellers feedback from back then shows that a buyer left him positive feedback for this KR at a selling price of just above $50k. Also noticed that AutoCheck currently shows 8 entries for this car so something has transpired in the last two years.

Ebay shows now that the car was sold for 47,700 USD. Seems like a pretty good deal. Did anyone from here buy it?

If it was an actual winning transaction, then it was a smoking deal, even moreso that it was VB due to its rarity.

Wonder where the car was as you could see two other KR's in the background, a sliver and a black one.

The cars belong to a private collector in Arkansas. He was looking to sell one to make room for something else. A buddy of mine was looking for one. I'll have ot see if he bought it.
