ShelbyEra08
Is there another Shelby Annual coming out this year? Always thought they hit the bookstands by late October.
cmcmotorworks
Hmmmm ! Maybe they're waiting for some reason.
HARALD KELLEY
Hmmmm ! Maybe they're waiting for some reason. It's coming, just delayed. See quote from Gary P, "The 8th SIP would normally have come out in late October and we were ready to go with it. The team has chosen to delay this important issue for just a couple of months to include some really cool go forward content that we would have missed had we printed the SIP on the original schedule. Carroll's favorite cars and trucks were always the next ones......so stay tuned for the newest SIP ........ for the "Next Ones." John Canfield
Maybe with the upcoming announcement this Monday (GT350? ) some of the content won't be so 'still a secret'?
jwestercamp
Isn't the gt350 a ford thing only?
John Canfield
Don't know details yet, but it sounds like it's going to be Ford sourced, but still carry the Shelby and GT350 names. Why wouldn't you put it into the annual?
cmcmotorworks
Probably because SAI's Huge announcement coming in early January succeeding November 17 is a Big, Big deal ! The annual has to be about SAI's accolades not so much Ford's.
shelbymotorsports
Don't forget what Carroll always said, that if he put his name on it then its a Shelby. Ford built or Shelby American built, if it says Shelby then its a Shelby and "could" be included in the SIP magazine. We'll just have to wait a little bit longer and it will all make sense Steve

I remember what Mr. Shelby said, too. I just wish Shelby owners would stop bickering about who's Shelby is real and who's isn't. I think some people have forgotten Shelby's words! cmcmotorworks
It will be interesting to see if the new SVT car actually has the Shelby name on it or not. It could be left off as a subtle payback for the 1984 1/2 20th anniversary debacle. We'll all find out soon
cmcmotorworks
Assuming it is a GT350, history can have a funny way of repeating itself sometimes.

That will just make it more special when SAI put's their lettering on it and makes a Cobra out of the thing. Seems like I was dead on in every aspect right down to the VooDoo motor. cmcmotorworks
Look across the front splitter. It does say Shelby across that. I see nothing on the splitter. Which is part of the actually body of the car. Could you be referring to the intercooler. That would be a subtle place to have it as more of a mechanical attribute to the car, Leading into the Cobra build form SAI

Shoot the bird, it was wrong, Phill You're really splitting hairs now. I'm referring to Large "Shelby" script consistent with the 07 thru 14 SVT cars. Not a embossed plastic piece barely noticeable. We'll all find out soon In addition to the previously quoted name placement on the front splitter, both door sills have it as well as a passenger side dash plaque that will also have a "Chassis number" Aaron Shelby is very involved as a visible player moving forward with the brand along side Henry III, as these are the younger faces for the future

Denstang65
For the record for all of you concerned for the lack of Shelby badging I will say 2 things; 1 Shelby letters are visible on the front lower spoiler. 2 All original 65 GT350's, with the exception of the CSM# tag on the under hood fender; no where on the exterior of those cars had the letters Shelby any where. So that being said, I do not care what people say. The 2016 is a Shelby GT350. I am ready to see one on the streets and perform on the track. To all the future buyers of these cars, enjoy the hell out of them for me please
cmcmotorworks
Never implied that the car was not a Shelby or does not have Shelby DNA.
