My opinion is I like the 15 and very pleased with the fastback look. Sorry about the black 15, that's all they had. Just think of the cars as Ying and Yang. LOL

Thank you for the compliments. The local dealer had 2 GT's and both were black. They were nice enough to pull one out for me to do the pictures. I even got to meet the dealerships owner, Mr. Grody of Ken Grody Ford. Wonderfully nice gentleman. Oh, and the $34K pricetag does not seem bad at all for the GT!

only 2 things I do not like about the 2015 and I guess its a personal preference but one is the sound system. The Shaker system has been ok but its time to upgrade to a world class sound system like Meridian in the Jaguar or even the Harmon Kardon in the Challenge or even a Bang & Olufsen in the BMW M6 Grand Coupe. All of these are top of the line sound systems. Myself personally not a fan of Bose and is why I didn't list it.

My second dislike is I was hoping for the all new Mustang that FORD would bring back some of the Mustang's original and most popular colors but no they didn't and instead its a choice of boring after boring after boring colors. How many drab Gray's do you need? They offer Yellow and Orange and neither were great sellers, hence why dealers never ordered them in these colors. Go back over the recent 5 years of color choices and its the same White, Black, Red, Gray, and other bland colors. Look at the Challenger with the Plum Crazy Purple, Sublime Green, B5 Blue, Redline Red, Jazz Blue, these are all bright good looking colors. In the last 20 years one of the most popular Mustang colors is Legend Lime yet you haven't seen it since 2006. I know one thing a 2013 Shelby GT500 would look great in Legend Lime as well as the 2015 would too. I want to see Highland Green, Legend Lime, Acapulco Blue, Gulfstream Aqua, Black Jade, Royal Maroon, all available as these would look great on the 2015

Great pics & comparison.

.

The 65 Mustang was designed to attract younger U.S. buyers.

The 2015 Mustang is designed to attract younger buyers in...................... Japan, China, and to a lesser extent Europe.

Exactly!!!!....I said that a long time ago when the new 15 was shown.

I agree, IMO the biggest disappointment about it, and most all new cars these days, is the lack of color choices. Blacks and grays dominate the palette, but it is a generational thing. Black Mustangs, Corvettes, etc. were rare cars back in the '60s and '70s since no one liked that color on a car. Grays were nonexistent. But, luckily we still have a few striking colors available, but just a very few.

Maybe its because I am in that 'young' demographic, but I am in awe of the 2015 Mustang. I think it looks amazing; is it enough for me to go buy one? Well.... lets just say I saw a deep impact blue v6 and besides the fact that I will not upgrade from a v6 to another v6, the only color I need on any Mustang is deep impact blue! (Ok, Kona blue is in there too)

I type this all with my hands on a keyboard with a 2015 Mustang brochure, a rather in depth brochure, that I obtained from a family friend at my local Ford dealership. Now, does that mean I'll buy one? I think it means, if the right one comes out I may be persuaded.

EDIT: And of course I fully intend to compliment you on your car. It looks incredible! I love the side-by-side you have posted.

Nice side by side shots. I happen to like the looks of the 2015.

Funny that your dealer got in a black one, dealer here in Cheyenne has one it's black.

Was over in Laramie last week they had a 2015 also in black.

Is that all they are shipping right now?

My dealership had a one black 5.0 but also had a ruby red, deep impact blue, ingot silver, and two orange eco-boost versions.

Another Ford dealership nearby has a triple yellow out and a black one in the show room.

Again thank you guys for the compliments. I spent about an hour or so just walking around the car. I kept noticing areas where Ford thought of the heritage and applied it to this new car. Granted, you do have to look for the heritage accents and details, not like the previous platform that was noticeable 100 yards away; In a good way! Still, at least Ford did listen to enthusiast and did not go to crazy with the Euro look. On that note, I would buy one if I was able to afford one. I like it. But, I think I will like Shelby's version of the SVT GT350 more! Well, thank you all for looking at my post. I did not want my car to over shadow the new 15, but if it did, I will not apologize because I love my car more than any other! LOL

To quote Henry Fords words " You can have any color, as long as it is in black. " LOL Maybe its another touch of Ford heritage?

I like the '65 much better. I think Ford intentionally pulled away from the retro theme with this design as it has been played out (in some opinions). I think they got it right with the original S197 as far as being closest to the original....

Beautiful pics and beautiful cars....I think the Black and gold should have been an option for the 07 to 14 GT500...it just works on the Mustang.
