Mayor McGuirk and I had the opportunity to preview a new museum that was put together by Drew Serb, long time Northern California based Cobra expert/restorer.

The Museum is located at 777 Arnold in Martinez CA (East Bay)

Deliciously catered, a video production, merchandise, lots of vintage memorabilia and 14 spectacular vehicles offered us a glimpse of a wonderful facility

We anticipate a future event here, so stay tuned.

You can check out the website at www.cobraexperience.org

What's the story on the wadded up front end?

I need to load another pic of an orange Cobra that was there. Reason why that car? Is was waded up not once, but twice, in a complete ball...

Every vintage Cobra race car suffered damage back in the day, that nose section was just one of many....

That being said, I do not know the story of that specific piece

I was at Gordon's tonight--that's his Lotus there. I heard the museum will be open 1 Sunday a month to the public--I hope so.

Their plan is regular hours at some point, check their website for updates

Wow, that's less than 10 minutes from my house! I would've loved to have attended this event. How was it advertised?

Will there be more events there?

-Pockdog

Yes, we (TS & NorCal SAAC) expect to have some events there in the future, and when we do, you'll see a thread here.

KP,

I'm game for joining you. It's a good excuse for getting the LS out. Let me know.

Jim

JC,

Jim and Kathy are interested in going also. Send me an e-mail with your contact information or we can just meet up @ the museum around 11:00 on Sunday.

Nice place - fun movie - great cars.

It was nice to have met you Mark.

Surfergeek and I went up to check out the museum and then stopped @ In-n-Out Burger in San Ramon on the way back.

Sorry JC, redneckgt, and Kathleen couldn't make the trek.

We couldn't resist picking up some goodies in the gift shop while there.
