twobjshelbys
Cars in places like this are usually picked up at auction. I'd want to check a carfax on this one.
Mustangcollector
Yeah, I believe I've seen other Shelby's sold online at this pawn shop, thought I even saw a KR previously. I'd be concerned about the car at that price. Even if they got it at auction on the cheap they would sell it at market price (which I think is much higher than $44K) if it were in excellent condition. No one takes a hit and "passes on the savings"...they'd still buy low and sell high.
aaronlstiles
This car was pawned by the Original owner, I was looking at it before. She needed money for a DUI she had gotten. It has like 9600 MIles on it, few Nicks and scratched as well. But all and all it looked like a nice DRIVER car. I want to say it is also a LOW # car too boot. I called the pawn shop, he said in the last few years she has pawned it a few times, but this time she just sold him the car. Its no scam, and not a Junker car. Just a lady that was in a bad position I think.
08KR525
I bet it won't last long. I hope someone here gets it.
Helix
Actually, this would be a really cool car to think seriously about (for me anyways). If its clean enough then scratches can always be removed, its low miles overall but relatively high miles compared to most KR's which is perfect because I want to put another 100K miles on it anyways. Price isn't bad either; the only reason I would pay $50,000+ is for a very low mile perfect condition babied KR.

HARALD KELLEY
Wish it was an 2008 at that price.
2010KonaBlueGT
Wish it was an 2008 at that price. Seriously? No, I mean....REALLY? '09's commend better prices than '08's so this is a damn good price. Even better than a '08. Phill
Helix
I argue the opposite looking more into this actually. This car has flaws and can be linked to an irresponsible owner (clutch anyone?). The link the business posted shows the car in depth; the engine bay needs some serious clean up - not a huge problem, no. Some, or all, of the body flaws are highlighted and those scratches are not simple scratches, along with the stripes pealing (EDIT: Bubbling) and a sketchy picture of the front bumper that indicates something rubbed against something lol. Did I mention one of the Alcoas has been rubbed against a curb or something hard? For $45,000 I can get a perfect condition KR with lower miles. I know a lot of people want the KR to hold its value, but $45K - $50K and Ive got my dream KR. So this car for $45K? Uh.....No. I thought about it, believe me. I'm dying for a KR but it won't be for some time.
08KR525
After looking at the car in more detail on the pawn shop's site I'm with Helix. This car looks to have lead a hard life even though it only has 7800 miles. My dd isn't that filthy and beat up. The car was equipped with the Shaker 1000, but now has a Pioneer NAV unit. As far as the difference between the '08s vs the '09s that would not be a deal breaker for the right car imo. Your basically talking about the differences in some badges. Badging Brake fluid reservoir Possibly the clutch If it is a silver car the paint In my opinion none of those should make a difference when looking for a KR. My comment was not directed to imply that 08 being better or worse than an 09 etc. It's just personal preference as I like the 40th anniversary car. That's it. Helix
If this car were $10,000 less, heck I would even be hard pressed to offer even less, then Id buy it hands down right now (after engine inspection). A car like this is unfortunately already in need of a restoration to be what other KR's are: a Shelby show car ie by the numbers, low numbers, etc. However, if the price were sane then this would be perfect for a car that I want to drive, and I mean drive a lot. It may go as far as to need a new paint job at some point, and I would normally feel too much guilt to remove the by-the-numbers color but this way I could have a solid blue KR without stripes and it still be a KR.....Just dreaming. I guess I'll watch this one for a bit.... A little work could go a long way on this.
