Carl Bishop
My wife and I are taking our annual fall trip to the beautiful North Carolina mountains, so were going to Maggie Valley this year. Just wondering if there are any other Shelby or Mustang owners in the area that are going to this show? Here's our itinerary for the weekend September 5th - 8th; Arrive in Maggie Valley Friday (noontime is our goal) Register and participate in the cruise on the Blue Ridge Parkway (2:30 - 4:00pm) Attend the car show Saturday On Sunday, I'm taking my wife on the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad;http://www.gsmr.com/And possibly a side trip to the Wheels Through Time motorcycle museum; http://www.wheelsthroughtime.com/ We booked our rooms here;http://jonathancreekinn.com/Then we'll head home Monday morning.....It would be great to meet up with a few other TS members. Carl Bishop
We had a blast last weekend in Maggie Valley..... Nice turnout, with over 180 cars despite the on and off thunderstorms. There were at least 20+ late model Shelby's, the most I've seen at a single gathering other than Mustang Alley. Here's a few pictures from the show and from our trip Sunday on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad.

They are different and have an old school look as well.
Carl Bishop
Tell me how your stay at Jonathan Creek was, wife and I are heading down there end of April 2015 Since it was our first time ourselves I counted on the reviews. My wife was pleasantly surprised on how nice it was. Its a family owned facility (like most in the area) with a very friendly staff. The rates were very reasonable (we used our AAA discount) for the season. Be prepared to be around tons of Bikers (not a bad thing). If you book a room, make sure you choose a creekside room. I found another hotel that was not listed on any of the travel sites that I wish I looked into further which seemed really nice driving by it that we might try next year if the price is right; http://www.smokyfallslodge.com/ It has one of the best restaurants on site, the Moonshine Grille. Restaurant Reivews; Joey's Pancake House; breakfast only, very good but very expensive for breakfast Snappy's; very average at best, Johnathan Creek gave us a buy one get one free coupon (you get what you pay for) Butt's on the Creek: BBQ, very good Maggie Valley Restaurant: county cooking at its best, the best meal we had all weekend Hope this helps.... Very nice. Thanks for sharing. By the way nice rims on your SGT. They are different and have an old school look as well. Thank you for noticing, and you get why I chose those wheels.
