There sure has been a lot of bickering lately, that much I noticed.

On a side note, I think a rule about signature size sure would be useful. :whistling:

I've been on internet forums since the late 90's and I've never seen any forum signatures bigger than what exists on GT500 and Shelby forums. I mean 4-5x the size of standard signatures. The one in my signature is small by comparison and is still one of the largest I've ever used.

I come to the sites to read posts about cars, not see a photo of a car that takes up half of my monitor every 3 posts. I spend half my time on some forums just scrolling past the signature photos. I'd love to see if where the forum posts are treated like e-mails in that your initial post contains your avatar and your signature, and from there on it only contains your avatar.

OK :hysterical:

Look I like seeing nice cars, and your photo is nice, but it's literally 448x298 pair of images stacked on top of a 900x598 photo. Your signature alone takes up 1348x598 of my 1920x1080 screen everytime you post. Congrats on the nice cars, but save your scrapbook for another post dedicated to giant photos of your cars. I don't need to see it on every single post you make.

OK. :hysterical:

I'll see if I can post some giant photos for you, maybe 7360 x 4912?

Would that give you something better to bitch about? I Don't care. :lurk:

I am bored, time to find some pics to post. :hysterical:

I agree. To the point that I've disabled displaying all signatures because a few have multi page ones... People seem to forget that if you're viewing on a mobile data plan and not wifi that we pay for that EACH AND EVERY TIME.

This is the sort of attitude that causes people to leave internet forums. Your signature is so oversized that on my crappy little work monitor (1600x900) that it takes up my entire monitor, yet I'm the one with the problem. Obviously there was some merit to what I posted as your signature has magically shrunk in size overnight since my posting. Perhaps even you realized that the image you used was a little on the crazy side?

My point wasn't about your photos being the larges ever to exist in the world, I could surely grab some giant images from my DSLR before condensing them down, but no one except for you wants to see an entire screen worth of your car every time you post. I'm happy for you to start a thread and fill it with the largest images of your car you can take, I can simply choose not to come back to that post or thread, but aside from turning off signatures all together, there's no way to single out the people like you when browsing the forums in general.

Attitude? Chill. You are new. I have been here since 2006. :yup:

The sig pic topic has been beaten to death. Go ahead start another thread on the subject.

You are like the guy that buys a house around an airport than bitches about the planes.

Hundreds of sig pics are large. Get over it. Rant over, good bye. :salute:

Oh Yea,

 Back on topic

As I have posted in other recent threads, there has definitely been a little tension lately and especially following the Jer issue. With that said, we're all adults here and we can all get along. If you find someone on the forum you can't tolerate, you can block that person. As for the pictures, you can choose to disable signatures in your personal settings and therefore eliminate your problem. For the most part the forum is a pleasant place to hang out, but as with any internet forum you will run into people from time to time who just want to argue and stir the pot. Don't let them get the best of you and let the luster to wear off. There are very good people here. Let's keep it clean and have respect for others.

Jeez, I post a comment about how conversation is lacking and I come back a few days later and a food fight has broken out. I guess there is some entertainment value in watching grown adults act like children. Although I see a enough of that watching soccer moms and dads.

Because I bought my car this year, why would I join a forum for a car I don't own before that? Do you think you've earned some sort of additional respect from me just because you signed up for a website before me? Your annoying use of emoticons bothers me as well, reminds me of stuff I see from my 10 year old nephew on Facebook. Don't you have some flannel shirts to clean and some maple syrup to purify?

The decline in participation in proprietary specialist forums is a symptom of Facebook.

Wow dude, you didn't do real good in Kindergarten I bet. "Getting along with others" probably is not a strong point, eh?

The reason you join (or lurk in) a forum before you buy a car is to LEARN!!!... I spent two years on various Cobra forums before I bought mine, and over a year before I got my FGT. I knew both cars' ins-and-outs before I ever set my tushy in the drivers seat.
