Video Review Of My Mrt Off Road H Pipe And Solid Shifter Bushings.

I have heard that some 2010 and up GT500 guys (including myself) have an issue with the 2nd gear grinding when shifting at redline. Some say that this is due to the clutch spring assist and the softer bushings in the shifter making it sway. A lot of guys simply get an aftermarket shifter like a barton or MGW and call it a day. I like the stock shifter so this was my other option.

Here is a link to the bushings: http://www.revanracing.com/categories/2011-14-shelby-gt500/drivetrain/shifter-bushings.html

The install is basically taking out the shifter as if you are going to swap out to a Barton or MGW unit and replacing the rubber bushings with the new solid steel ones. It firms up the shifter so it does not flex enough to produce the 1st to 2nd grind issue.
