shelbymotorsports
Most collectors would not consider a car once owned by Shelby American as a "Carroll Shelby owned" car. I'm going to guess this is the same seller that had it for sale at $80,000 a couple years back. Steve

DubbsFaris
My understanding is that when he won Bullrun, SAI, being the main sponsor for that season, was to give him 100k. That is what was advertised. Supposedly, he got this Terlingua and a friendly wave instead. I think his price is based more on the principal of what was expected. Don Johnston
For a number of years, CS entered into a relationship with a few auto auction/auto dealers to consign cars. All he had to do was get the cars titled to him, not the shop, and he would receive a commission on the sale. All these various cars, and there are a lot of them, went the title transfer process under CS' name to add value. Unless it was a factory use vehicle, he probably never drove the car more than once, if at all, according to a few past employees. A shop that want this kind of money for a special titled car should know better and spell the legendary man's name correctly!
DubbsFaris
We'll, it's not a shop. It's the actual guy who won the car, and frankly, he is a lambo guy, not a mustang guy of any sort.
Don Johnston
I hope it goes to a someone who appreciates the car and the legacy from which it comes.
