twobjshelbys
They rejected mine - "427 AMF" Did they say why? The likely reason is that in general, 6 character plates of 3 letters and 3 numbers (or 3 numbers and 3 letters) are the standard configuration of plates and would be in the general pool and thus cannot be used, even if not issued. TexasShelby
I would only assume here, but I would think AMF was the trigger. That is also a corporate ID for a bowling company. I'm not positive, but that may be a restriction as well.
stewarbc
I did not find anything in the Texas Transportation code, however, it could be just like was stated by TexasShelby. AMF interpreted as an acronym for a bad expletive. I would at least call and ask them why to be sure.....there is one reference to acceptance/denial but it is up to the director or designee's discretion. http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/SOTWDocs/TN/htm/TN.504.htm
garza2n4
I didn't catch the 7 letter dates but I put TM FTP on mine and it typically is interpreted as F#@k the Police. Even though it isn't it still got approved.
