How To Clean Your Engine Bay?

Recommended Posts

I keep the toys clean enough that I've never had to be really aggressive, but on my truck I used a lawn fertilizer sprayer on a high flow (ie, running water, not pressure spray) to apply Simple Green to the insides, then used a brush to scrub, then used the hose nozzle to rinse and then microfiber towels to dry.

I use ruined down simple green. And one of those cheap throw away paint brushes. And a pressure washers. . Huger every thing wet. Spray on the simple green. Yes the brush to to get all the dust dirt lose then spray it off with the pressure washer then blow dry with a air gun

I don't use pressure washer on engine bays. Too easy to force something out of its socket. I had to clean my engine one time and used a car wash and cringed. I kept a good distance but there was no source for hot water and it was cold.

Hint: If you use water in the engine compartment DISCONNECT THE BATTERY!!! Just carry a 8mm wrench.
