mikeljgt500kr
I finally received my GT350 decorated shift knob from SPP, after several months on back order. It came with several nuts, etc. and no instructions or explanations about installing it on my 2013 GT350. I have tried to take off the existing white ball the car came with, but it will not budge. I hate to get my vise grips latched onto it and buger it up. Any tips on how this is held on? Is it just screwed on? Are there lock screws I am not seeing on it? Any tips welcome, thanks. gotoatz
When I did the knob on my 500, I ended up lifting the center console, unbolting the shift arm from the tranny, (2 bolts) and pulling the whole unit out of the car. Then you can put the shift knob between a couple of 2x4's in a vice, and use the shift arm as leverage with a big ass crescent wrench, and spin it loose...... Takes about 15 minutes tops. Better than breaking your existing shift ball......
cmcmotorworks
I've found a leather strap wrench works the best.

CQGcarz
Thanks much for that idea, I used one and it was very easy. Do you have the upgraded Barton shifter? I have tried to remove that knob and I cannot.

If you have the Barton short shifter, don't bother to remove. The Gt350 shifter ball from Shelby will not fit it. And Shelby has no reducers/adaptors
