twobjshelbys
+1 I know Ford lost money on every one but more than made up for it with the GT500. However, I wish Ford would bring back another halo super car of the GT's caliber to best the Vette and Viper along with the best Europe and Asia have to offer. Maybe a new young Ford CEO will surprise us. The other places have started rumors of a new Ford supercar, but given the entry point I can't see them doing something that would compete with Ferrari and McLaren. I could see something that would compete with the 911 and the Corvette. Rumor is again a mid engine. They would have to sell about 10-20x more units than they did the GT to even coming close to breaking even, and have to commit to a multi year run to get enough volume on the tooling. A $100K price point would maybe do well. Frankly, I just don't see it happening but we'll see.
Denstang65
Love them. If I was wealthy, I would own one. I would not have any foreign vehicle's in my stable!
tko211
I have a couple friends that own Ford GT's. They also own other cars as well. In one case this gentlemen owns a Ferrari 430 and a Lamborghini Murci as well as a few others. He will tell you that his favorite is the Ford GT. Back in 2009-2010 You could pick up a red one for about 140k. (less than what people paid for them new after HUGE ADM's) Wish I would have done a second mortgage to buy one then... Today it's impossible to find one for 200k. Some of the rarer colors are going for much more. Good luck even finding a Heritage Scheme. I believe the GT will be a HUGE collector car in the next 6-8 years!

Everything I own is for sale for the right price 2. It already is 3. The thing about any market is to know when to cash out

captdave
Thanks for the link, I checked it all out. The video was loud and to the point. Sunny 12:00 noon, not a cloud in the sky. This is the absolute worst for photography! I know, you use what you got. Sunrise & sunset of the same event would have made the photo's way better. If the event goes from 10 am to 4 pm, not much you can do on a sunny day. Overcast day actually brings out the colors. The camera see's a different light spectrum then your eyes. Don't put you camera away on what you think may be a bad day because of clouds from now on. All my auto photo's from the 1970's - 2008 were taken on sunny days. I even made a point of picking those days, I was completely wrong. CaptDave
twobjshelbys
For those who want a quick lesson on taking car pictures go to www.cobracountry.com and download the tip sheet. My Ford GT photos, one of which is my picture on the left, was taken a few minutes after sunrise at Red Rocks. Another photo that I took a few minutes later (after the sun went behind a cloud) was in the Ford GT Forum calendar for 2013. I liked the reddish tint from the first light and reflections off the red sandstone. Camillo liked the sandstone colors without the red light. 2010KonaBlueGT
I know that the new 2013/2014 GT500s are rated at 200+ MPH, but except for the few on the track where the claim was established, noone has been able to reproduce it. Stock car, in a straight line 1/4 mile, I'll give it to the GT500. But on a track I'll take the GT. But equalize the HP (mine is 650RWHP with just a pulley and tune) and bridgestones it'll wup the GT500. There is a guy that runs a Black FGT at the Mojave Mile. He's been there every time I have so I guess I'd consider him "a regular". His name is Tom Fries out of Nipomo CA. He has something like 65 runs OVER 200 mph. His fastest run was a 225.0 MPH run. Super nice guy and he has a couple of other cars he and/or his wife run there too. Last April he had his Aston Martin DB9 there along with his FGT. Man, it must be nice! His wife's name is Summer..."Summer Fries"! <LOL> Phill

twobjshelbys
P.S. The GT photos were at the Red Rocks park in Morrison, CO (the best open music venue in the country, and a heck of a park to boot). Not the Vegas park. I've yet to get there and we've been so busy, haven't had the time.
