... Anyone know production numbers for this one? Didn't want recaros and it was the only one in us with lumbar seats.

Congratulations!

As was said, 80 2014 convertibles were made in Deep Blue with White stripe. Hard to say how many of those came without the Recaros.

There were only 67 2014 convertibles made like my Sterling Gray with Black stripes. I also didn't want the Recaros, and again it's hard to say how many were built without them. A long search turned up only 2.

thanks a lot

My red silver 10 was 1 of 27 has9500 miles on it. Never in rain or even wet roads. Red color kind if gets to you after a while so I sold my 65 gto and basically

Bought the Shelby. So no cash flow. Git 35.on the trade a little low. It'll sell quick at Sandy springs Ford

Love to meet up with other 14 verts. Big car show in norcross coming up. Anyone interested pm me for details. Now I wait for the truck from Houston. And buy me some pilot tires. What size are you guys putting on.

Congrats on the new 14!! You are going to love it. Blue/white stripe one of my favorite combos. Sorry I can't help on your tire question.... still don't have my pilot super sports on yet and no experince with the ac3 either, however, I have read many times that they are only slightly less summer traction than the pilots. But, if you are in rain you're better off with the ac3's

Torched 10 - Congrats on the new Vert! I've got a 14 DIB Black Stipe Vert up in MN (believe it or not mine rolled off the line early March 2013 and was likely either the first or near the first 14 in MN last yr). My Goodyears were cracked upon delivery last yr so dealer/Ford replaced them with the MPSS's and I was able to get them to bump the rears to the 295's (stock 265 fronts). The 295's look great on the rear BUT the MPSS 265 fronts are absolutely smaller looking than the stock GY 265's. If I did it again I think the 275 fronts would be the ticket plus they give you a little extra clearance which would come in handy if you run the additional front splitter that comes with the car.

I had had a clear bra put on the front and mirrors right away (I had them go around the stripes) then I had a local "expert" detailer do a full correction (car had 1000 mi on it) and cover entire car, rims, windows with Opti-Guard. Here is a link from his photobucket of pics he took while doing my car-

Hey Joraft: I have a '14 Vert. Sterling Gray Metalic with Stripe Delete. 1 of 6, so far. I have the standard seats. Are you in S. Ca., or???

Hi Ray, I'm in the S. F. Valley.

Over 2 million people and I've never seen another 14 Shelby (on the road) in any color.

I'm also in Atlanta and would like to meet up at the car show in Norcross, what's the scoop? I go to Caffeine and Octane in Alpharetta as often as I can but the weather hasn't been that great for last few

soiknoww where to look, where were the Gyrs cracked? Just curiuos,if they were both the samesize tire,in what dimension didhtye look smaller,ie height or width Thanks

The cracks are right in the tread (looks like additional random grooves). Clearly mine got cracked during transport from MI to Minnesota via train/truck that bring them as have others in various northern states over last last couple winters.

have you put pilots on yet.BTW on my current 10 vert, the 1st thing i modded were hood struts.I had neen to a car show-parked next to a Snake. It was a windy day and the hood lifted up, the prop bar came loose, the hood felt down and bar dented the hood and the fender Got soemNext Gen thru CJPony parts --painted the color of your car,and take like 20 minutes with no drilling

The tires actually aren't that bad. They're better than I was expecting after reading all the bad comments online. I've driven them in temperatures as low as 42 degrees and has high as 72 degrees. They're a bit slippery when cold, but not as bad as I was expecting. I'll keep 'em on until the tread is gone.

That said, even after 300 miles, I still haven't had the throttle all the way to the floor yet. Second gear at 50 mph spins the tires at about 3/4 throttle on a 60 degree day. Running these cars at full-throttle is quite dangerous and reckless and not something I'll make a habit out of. Half throttle is the new full throttle for me. :)

One bad thing about the tires is they pick up sand and gravel off the road like a lint roller picks up lint off a black suit. You constantly hear the tires throwing sand and grit under the car.

Yes hood struts are next on my list. A prop bar on a $60K++ car is lame. Several people have commented on that when I show them the engine. I hope the hinges on the hood are strong and don't wear out easily because everyone who sees the car wants to see the engine! I open the hood all the time to show people the engine.

I'll be there. I believe I met you at a mustange show in Cobb once before, I remember the silver stripes being very unique.
