BEST HOCKEY IN THE WORLD .. MEN and WOMEN EH :clapping::clapping:

Complete and total dismantling of the Swedes...

How about Carey Price for the tourney....back to back shut-outs, WOW, and Sid's strip of Ericsson at the defensive blueline, and then a breakaway goal on the ensuing play, pure skill

Great game!

You know I love hockey and I am a huge Ducks fan. Oh, shut up all you quack haters! ( ha, ha ). I have no desire to watch the Olympic hockey games because I have a hard time watching all these pros playing for different teams they represent from where they are from. As far as I am concerned, a lot of them are now United States citizens and should be playing for their country, U.S.A. Besides, most of the players that play in the NHL, other than Canadian teams, are in the United States. So my conclusion is that if they play in the United States, live in the United States and are U.S. citizens, they all should be playing for the United States. I feel the Olympics should be the way it was before the pros were aloud to be used. It should be meant for the young amateurs or minors that may or may not ever have a shot at the NHL. Just my $.02 To any one reading my post that has not yet seen the Kurt Russell movie "Miracle", you have got to see it. Even if you are not a Hockey fan, watch it anyways. Great movie!

OK, lets admit it. They have good hockey teams. But at the end of the day or week or month, whatever, they still have to go home to an igloo and socialism and fanatical anti-gun environment.

No they don't, they go home to their families and teams in the US. Heck there were guys on the US Team, Canadian Team, Swede Team, and Russian Team who live here in Denver and either play for the Avalanche or other NHL teams. I agree with Denstang above. The Olympic Men's hockey games are just all star NHL games. Didn't do much for me at all. Now the women, yes, they all played their harts out. The Canadian's took it away at the end with plain hard amazing play. Just like men's basket ball in the summer Olympics. This is what these guys get paid to do full time. That takes something out of it for me.

So which players are US citizens and not playing for us? I agree with you. You don't get to have it both ways.

Women got lucky and you know it

The Gold medal match was really the semi-finals against U.S.! Yes Sweden is good but they had ZERO chance with missing their 4 best players or was it 5?

go Blackhawks

07SGT Please we are talking about a sport.. HOCKEY .. Yes they are all $$$$$$$$..... Miracle On Ice .. We Canadians were soooooo grateful of the USA Win.... The Russians were training and playing hockey and training year round.. They were considered professions but were not paid big $$$$$.... To have only amateurs what not be the best in the world..... The highlight of the games was USA beating RUSSIA....Canada beating the USA was also an intense game but everyone including the European teams wanted Russia to LOSE.... AND THEY DID BIG TIME... Side note... American NHL teams have been winning the most and last Stanley Cups..... So please keep on topic.....Thank You

I couldn't agree more!!!!!!!! We all love our national teams winning any major game or event, so why make such an ignorant statement is beyond me! I assume 07SGT has never been to Canada or he wouldn't make such a stupid dumb statement!

We are a great neighbour to the US, we bring lots of dollars to your country, we help support your suppliers,we buy homes in your country,we vacation in your country,so why be so rude!!!! I have a winter home in Arizona and spend lots of time there and would like to remind you that over 80,000 Canadians winter in your country every year,so don't slam a country that you obviously know very little about!!!!
