If you are interested in information on Shelby Run Europe 2016 or Shelby Re-Run Europe 2015 please sign up for our Europe email list. This will keep you updated on all the news as it becomes available.

I expect Re-Run Europe to be sometime around the last week of June or the first week of July 2015

Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco, France, Belgium and then back to Netherlands.

I expect the 2016 trip to be entirely in June.

Tentatively looking at Netherlands, France (beaches of Normandy), England, Scotland, Ireland - possible side trip to Nurburgring before or after the trip. Details still being worked on.

SRE is a life changing trip!

Suggestions,

To make a fun trip even better;

One full off day in Monaco

Less twisty and a little more open road. 9 hrs of 2nd & 3rd gear gets old in a hurry

Yes, we are looking at having a down day or at the least a much shorter day after Monaco. That was a LONG day.

I am the Photographer to hire for this event. :)

Please PM me Sean. :salute:

Ken, I can put you on the list! Lets just say MANY photographers have expressed an interest. I am certainly interested and willing to look into having a "professional" in attendance.

also, Nice is 20 minutes away and definately worthy of a visit......

after arriving in Monaco way ahead of the pack (thanks Tom) we toured Monaco all afternoon

leaving Nice and Old Nice for the late afternoon, evening and dinner right on the beach of the Med......

great shopping for the ladies also.......

If I ever get around to actually making a bucket list, this is going to be at the very top! Driving a Shelby around Europe has got to be just about the coolest thing out there! Now for the question: would it be inappropriate to ask for an approximate cost of such an event? (yeah, I know, if you have to ask.....) It would really help in the advance planning department.

The 2012 trip was $10,500 and included all meals and lodging as well as shipping the car over and back. You are responsible for airfare, insurance and fuel plus any before and after days.

Expect the 2015 & 2016 trip to be a little more as shipping rates have gone up due to fuel costs.

Hmm...interesting...stay calm... ...this price is for two people? How many days?

In addition to the above, you'll need to pay shipping to get your car to dock...factor around $1500 (for enclosed trailer) shipping, one way.

And yes, it was very cool cruising Europe in a Shelby :shift:

How many days in advance does the car have to be at the port? Will that be the same or similar for the return (days you have to wait until you can p.u. car)

Took about a week to pass through Customs going to Europe...........but a little longer coming home. California Port Authority took their sweet ass time in releasing my car. Guys on the East coast got theirs much sooner.

The adventure was worth every penny. I'm already committed to whatever SMC has for 2016 :victory:

My car shipped out middle of May, and was picked up middle of Sept.

:drop: Was it worth it? Being without the car for that long?

Still wondering if price stated for past trip was for 1 or 2 people.

Without sounding like a pretentious douchebag...as you can see by my signature, I wasn't really without....

That being said, Europe in a Shelby is worth every moment (before and after) without one for an extended period of time!

The $10,500 was for two people.

With gas prices going down dramatically right now maybe there will be a better deal!

Another question with regards to the Euro run, with cars being shipped from the east coast and the west coast,is there an organized option for cars being shipped together so they go through the customs and finally clearance so owners are together as a group to go pick up their cars together, especially in Europe.

It would be so much more fun but also a little less daunting for first timers!

I ship monthly from Europe and Asia, there have been no changes in shipping costs.

There were eight cars from the US that went on SRE 2012, four were shipped together from the east coast, and the other four left together from Houston, and yes, each group of four went t collect their cars.

Fuel prices have crashed, esp. for big users. Less than $2 for regular gas around here, now. Trans Atlantic shippers get significant discounts plus don't have to pay road taxes or buy low sulfur diesel. If shipping prices have not decreased I would be asking why the heck not?

How have exchange rates changed since last trip?

Shipping prices still have not changed. Diesel prices are remaining remarkably stable :rant2::censored::redcard:

Fuel prices in Europe have declined but not as much as they have here in the US.

We have been very busy trying to get things in place for 2015 but until recently it has not been fruitful. Things are looking up right now. Expect an announcement in the next week.

Anybody who has been thinking about doing this.....or kicking themselves for not joining in on the fun in 2012....should jump on the opportunity.....

this was the trip of a lifetime......SMC Events arranged the best hotels, great dining every night, and much was learned on the 2012 trip that

will make the next Shelby Run Europe even better.......without a doubt........

East Coat cars went to port in Baltimore on Memorial Day weekend, 5/24 and were available for pick up in Port Newark on 8/22.

90 days may seem like a long time to be without your car, but truthfully, its a small price to pay to be a participant in this amazing journey.
