Do Your Gauge Lights Flash Real Bright For A Second When You Open The Door?

After my 2014 GT500 has been off and the doors closed for more than a few minutes, the next time I open the driver's door, I noticed the gauge lights flash bright and white for a second. They're almost like a flashbulb on a camera. It almost doesn't seem right, like maybe some sort of current surge. Does anyone else have gauge lights that do the same thing?

My 14 doesn't do that, just has the normal interior lights, same ones you get when you unlock it.
