It was a fun drive and some great sites to see along the way! That said...weather was a bit "iffy" at times on the way home and we were forced to go south into TX upon our return when the highway was closed due to snow....meh! Ford Fest Posted January 2, 2014 Report Share Posted January 2, 2014 Met a great couple from IL that will be doing the trip to Vegas. They have a gorgeous red candy metallic 2013 with white Stripes. I think their schedule, as I've seen it, isn't as aggressive as we were two years ago and we still had time for a full 8 hours of sleep and made it in two days. I would advise anyone coming from IL to consider driving south through MO and into OK at least and THEN make the trek west. Weather is the "unknown" and learned that lesson the hard way last time.
