lumarkhood
I am looking at the possibility of selling my 2010 and purchasing the last of the current line...a 2014. I have located one that is exactly what I'd like (very similar to my '10). Obviously, I have the window sticker and have researched the dealer invoice of the '14. What have you guys heard, or are experiencing on present-day 2014 GT500 sales? I bought my '10 when the '11's were about and paid about $1,000 over invoice. Hoping the excitement of the '15's might cause some dealers to knbock some off the MSRP on a '14. Appreciate your feedback.
Don Johnston
The dealers and buyers know that this is the end of the Shelby GT500 production and the 662HP fun. With no continuation of the GT500 and limited production this last year dealer markups are nasty. I have seen anywhere from $5000 to $15,000 above MSRP. What they actually sell for out the door I do not know. Shop around and negotiate. I actually found that dealers located in communities areas where there is strong environmental and MPG concern (see how many hybrids they move), they really want to push the GT500 off the floor. Spectre500
I just traded my 10 for a 14 and got 2,500 below sticker. It pays to shop, I had to drive 3 hours to get the color and options I wanted. Our local dealer had 10K in ADM ( what a crock) if you hunt around you'll find one that will deal, but you have to do your homework. They are going fast so if your in the market act fast, Good luck. ThomasL
Not to hijack this but, Looks like i'll be getting mine today. Electronics pkg, svtpp, track pack, recarios... Basically everything except glass roof. The dealer has two which are identical. Does this help my chance of a better deal AND what pricwe would be a win for me?? ThomasL
Got mine 2k under msrp. Fully loaded aside from glass roof. Love it. Commands respect from others.
boom!
Here in Texas I have found several at msrp and the highest was 10K over msrp. I have been shopping for the past 3 months.
Norton
When I bought mine a year ago, before much of the demand was sated, I was quoted prices ranging from MSRP to $30K over. I don't see myself ever paying over MSRP but, at this point, it should not be necessary. I've seen multiple threads in several forums listing cars at and well-below MSRP. As others have said, it pays to SHOP AROUND.
Spectre500
Thomas L That's about what I got. They did 2,500 below msrp and they gave me 35K for my 2010. Mine did not have glass roof, or recaro's. I didn't want glass, and I love the electric seats with lumbar and heat. Ruby Red tricoat metallic looks stunning with a little claybar and a little quality polish from Griots. I have also researched some long term paint protection and came up with a 2 yr Ceramic coating called C quartz. Looks stunning and very promising for long term paint protection. http://www.carpro-us.com/ Glad you got the "Deal" as these are the last of the big HP 5.8's. Have fun with your Shelby and be careful as traction is def an issue if you get your foot too deep into the go go juice.
Joraft
Here in Texas I have found several at msrp and the highest was 10K over msrp. I have been shopping for the past 3 months. Hello! New to the forum, first post. I just ended a three month search for the 2014 I wanted (SGM convertible, black stripes). A dealer here in Southern California had just what I wanted, but wouldn't budge from 10K over MSRP. After weeks of searching through Ford's inventory site for just about every zip code in the country, I found one in the pipeline headed to a dealer in the wheat fields of Imperial, Nebraska (pop. 2100). I made a deal over the phone (at MSRP) and had it shipped to L.A. by enclosed transport. The dealer sent me a photo of the odometer with 5.4 miles, it arrived on December 6 with 5.5 miles. Derek Russell of Imperial Country Ford offered the best service I've ever seen in a dealership. He did everything exactly the way I asked, it was just like I lived right in his small town. I am one happy camper! On its way to L.A.

Joraft
Nicely done! Nicely done, indeed! Congratulations! Thanks, guys. I kept telling myself my car was out there somewhere, but as time passed I was getting a little nervous about finding it. If the stats I've seen lately are correct, there were only 67 convertibles made in this color combination. Wanting the 821A package and Shaker WITH standard seats narrowed the field even more. Not sure how many of those were made. (I do know of one other with a 10K ADM on it ) I sat in a car with the Recaros and found that I was just too fat assed over-sized to fit in them comfortably. tomshep
Great find and story. I love the small-town dealer and the caliche parking lot where you car is being loaded. Way to support the small guy and skip the greedy stealership. Sticker or less I would consider an acceptable deal. Tom
golkhl
Vegas dealer still has $5k ADM on the 2013's that have been sitting on the lot for most of this year! Find the car you want, tell the dealer what you want to pay, and maybe you will get lucky.
Ray Lucca
Very well done Joraft, great looking ride. I have the same car with Stripe Delete, 821 and cover, had to order it. Get up early tomorrow and bring it down to Cars/Coffee in Irvine. I found a car with stripes at Worthington in L.Beach and at a Dealer in Oregon. I also have the stock seats, a better fit for my big butt. Send me a PM and tell me how you like it. Congratz...

Ray, I'm up in the Bay Area for the holidays right now, but I would like to make that trip to Cars/Coffee sometime soon. It looks like we've been looking at the same cars. I went down to Worthington Ford and looked at their SGM convertible (They also have a base black coupe at 10k ADM. Been there for months.) They hinted at dropping their ADM from 10k to 5k but would not even consider MSRP. Landmark Ford in Portland had one without the Shaker Pro, and got down to 1k ADM, But then, I would still have the transport costs. I am so glad that I kept on looking. After 3 months of intensive searching, my guess (and it's just a guess) is that about 20% of the 2014s are still available. The majority are coupes and black. I would also guess that anyone wanting one of those will be able to find whatever options they want, and at a good price.
WJinLV
I received my 13GT500 Jan 2013 here in Vegas. Ordered it at MSRP from one dealer, the other dealer spoken about above quoted be 10k ADM. Then called me back to make a "special offer" at 5k ADM since I would be paying cash. I said no thanks both times. That dealer still has his at 5k over msrp and I hope it sits for a long time. I love going in to that dealer in my GT500 to pick up something small like antifreeze and am happy to say to everyone who asks that I bought it at the other less greedy dealer! California dealers won't budge, neither will Texas. If you want a smokin deal, go north! Nobody buys a summer toy in the dead of winter. mshelby23
I'm from the North....Vancouver, BC Canada, and our prices are no cheaper. They are all over the map from $63,000-$73000. Not hard to find a 13-14 here though!
FAST FRED
Try Drew Ford in La Mesa Ca. ( San Diego area ). They sell @ MSRP or below. I think they have one convertable and one coupe in Stock. Ask for Rick Garret and tell him Fred sent you.

blk12svt
Got my 14 in Sept for approx $2400 under sticker and they allowed me $41500 for my black SVT 12 with 1400 miles. I figure I did okay but you know you are going to take a hit when trading a 2 year old car with 1400 miles. I bought it at Ford Square in Mt.Vernon, Illinois. They have a white red stripe non-svt coupe at their Salem, Illinois store about 30 miles away. I think it's called Joe Hotze Ford.
