Picnic With A Pony: Rob Deneweth

The Ford community lost Rob Deneweth in November 2012. Rob worked for the Ford Motor Company for 22 years and spent the past 5 with Ford Racing working on the awesome Boss 302 S and Boss 302 R models.

Moreover, Rob also oversaw all modular and pushrod engine development for Ford Racing, which includes the venerable Cobra Jet program and the awesome 5.0L twin turbo EcoBoost Cobra Jet that was unveiled at SEMA.

"All of us at Ford Racing are deeply saddened by the passing of our colleague and friend Rob Deneweth," said Jamie Allison, director, Ford Racing. "Those of us at Ford involved in the racing program are very much like a small family, and when you lose a member of your family, you grieve and feel a real loss. Rob was a terrific engineer who did such great work, including his effort with the most recent Twin Turbo Cobra Jet project. All of us at Ford Racing send our deepest condolences to Rob's wife, Julie, and their three children. We have lost a true friend."

To show our gratitude of Rob's accomplishment's for Ford performance enthusiasts, we're dedicating one of our social events to Rob's memory with all monies raised going to Rob's family.

We don't have a date set yet, however, the event will be held at Elizabeth Park in Trenton, Michigan - mostly likely somewhere between May-July 2014.

Please check back here for updates.
