Entertaining review

Recommended Posts

This month my 2013 Shelby GT 500 turns one year old and I couldn't agree more to what this review has said. My previous cars have been Porsche turbo, Mercedes amg, Corvette C6, BMW, and those cars where like scalpels. On the other hand the Shelby feels like an axe, violent, in your face and with big cojones. For those of you still thinking about getting one, you don't know what you're missing! Don't wait to long, cause in this era of electronic nanny gadgets and hybrids it won't be around for long, enjoy it while you can.

This remark is as dumbass as whomever thinks it is funny! There are many reasons why people can only drive with automatics whether it be an amputee or other disability so anyone making fun of some jackass's remarks using foul language I don't find amusing! This is just a stupid subject but yet someone feels the need to bring it up all the time

Wow. I'm thinking the writer was not aiming to directly go after amputees and disabled individuals, but rather someone who has the ability to drive a manual yet chooses for convenience the automatic instead and suggesting that person is a poser. Personally, I did think it was rather humorous. Guess that makes me a dumb ass along with others who found the humor and were not easily offended. Or maybe you were not targeting me and just targeting everyone in general as you believe the writer... I mean "jack-ass" was. The jack-ass in question has a very interesting writing style full of vigor and machismo, and I enjoyed reading the article. Lastly, my comment was simply to point out the humor in using this style of writing for Ford's advertising. Didn't think I needed to explain it much further. To each their own.

The article was very entertaining. I enjoyed the viewpoint and he was very down to earth in his style as most can relate to his enthusiasm. I love the exhaust note description....had to start my car just to hear the line being repeated....illkillyaillkillyaillkillya.....loved it!

You are such a stupid s@@t - people enjoy this car and if you don't have a peg to push the clutch too bad. I am tired of the minority in this country pushing the views on the majority - you are the dumbass - the one in the pitiful minority. The review is awesome - deal with it.

I have had all kinds of power toys and enjoy both my 1966 and 2011 GT350 Shelbys and other Ford toys. But I would love a Ford power toy with an automatic. Someday you will understand that you can power cruise and track with semi-auto and paddle shifters very well. During one of my past visits to SAI, a guy next to me on the tour asked about an auto for one of his late model GT500s in the family For his son who had lost a leg defending this country and could no longer drive his GT500. Asking for an high performance auto option is NOT stupid or lame. So, please, knock off the attitude. Even CS had autos in a number of his cars including the two twin Paxton 427 Cobra roadsters. As he said, nothing shifts faster than an auto when you are at the drags.

A performance auto is long overdue as a Ford option for high horse and torque toys. Just do not make it the only trans selection. A six or seven speed stick should be the first tranny to be in the drivetrain.
