'14 GT500 runs the 'Ring in 7:39

Recommended Posts

Some nit-pickers are questioning the time, but there is another video from SVT that has a split screen run between the ZL1 and the GT500. They both start at the same location and end at the same location. In that vid, you can clearly see the GT500 finished ahead of the ZL1.

Nor should they, it isn't going to affect sales one way or another. They still make money and sell their cars. What they said makes sense. There is no "Official" time keeping body, therefore these my nutz are bigger than yours contest of GM vs Ford is dumb. You want times, look on You tube. That might be a better indicator of which is faster. All four are GREAT cars Boss, GT500, Zl1, and Z/28. Mind control and good psychologists working for marketing departments at Ford and GM do a great job of controlling minds. I just love cars, today it's a GT500, tomorrow a ZR1, then a GT-r, then maybe a Tesla Model S. Brand Loyalty isn't Freedom.

I take these lap times for entertainment purposes only. Comparing is fun. Z28 made it around 2 seconds faster in the wet.... Maybe a better comparison would have been the Boss 302 Laguna Seca as both these cars are built for the track?

most of us knew that the GT500 was faster around the 'RING than the CRAPMARO zl1.FORD knew it too.they just didnt want to put it out there.as far as the z28 goes, the one that put up that time at the 'RING,wont be the one that is sold to the public.there are many zl1 owners that say their car IS NOT as fast as what Government Motors says.as far as the GT500 goes, some have showed that the GT500 is FASTER than what FORD says.FORD>Gigantic Mistake. :happy feet: :hysterical:

Not the best quality but showed it to my 2 yr old granddaughter she loved it.she was leaning side to side as the car went through the turns.

She then started running around the room making car sounds. I think we are on the right path!
