I cannot find ANYTHING on them. I know about the EXP-500 hardtop coupes... but I remember hearing something about there being 2 Fastbacks that were designated as EXP's.... The styles family says they own it and have restored a car that is a 67 model convert. Now is it the real one; who knows I have heard stories that the original was crushed. it was almost 50 years ago and not a lot of records were kept form that time. In the 90s the volo museum says they bought it and restored it to a 67 (as well they built a clone of it). It has since been aquired by the Styles museum. They restored it first to a 68 at first, as they could not not find proof that is was originaly a 67. They have since found proof that Carroll was driving a red 67 Gt500 vert in December of 66 and have now restored it to a 67. I believe this is the one that was on display at SAAC. Now last month I got in to a discussion with a good friend of mine about the car on display at SAAC. My friend saw the car at SAAC and his opinion on the car, is that it was not the original. I was sad when he told me he believes that the original was crushed. My Friend was a personel friend of Carroll's for years and knows more about Mustangs than anyone I have ever met. A ton of money was spent on unique items to the car and it is a '67, but was only goven EXP500 striping when it was put in '67 specs. A lot of stuff went on back then, there is a lot of stuff Carroll would not talk about, and Carroll signed a lot of stuff over the years.
