What is leather on an 08 interior

I was putting leather protectant on my 08 vert. I was wondering if someone knows what is leather and what is not. I would think that the light bar is not.

On the SN95 I was told it was just the area that your butt and back actually touched. This practice could have certainly changed over the years but with cost always a driving factor in the auto industry I would be surprised if they added more leather over time.

I did notice that Meguiars or Mothers has a combination leather-vinyl care product. That would apparently be safe for both. But I agree, upon close inspection I think it is only where the butt, seat, back actually make contact. The rest is vinyl.

thanks. I called meguires and they said that the leather stuff is good for leather but won't hurt vinyl, but won't protect it. that is why the question. I have the vinyl protector also.

Not sure if the shifter boot is leather; at least on the 2007's. I'm in the process of replacing it with a leather version from American Muscle.

 

I'm certainly no expert, but the stock shift boot surely looks like vinyl compared to the new leather one.
