2010KonaBlueGT
Chopped it off and donated it to Locks Of Love. Jer Did you really? I tried... My hair was half way down my back when I finally decided to cut it a couple of years back. I have really wavy hair so it looks a lot shorter (but thicker) than it really is When I went to have it cut off I told the stylist I wanted to donate it (My sister died of Cancer, lost all of her hair from chemo). She said it had to be X (14"?) inches long for them to accept it. She measured mine and said it wasn't long enough (12"?). I think she should have soaked it to get it straight and then measured it but she didn't and she said she couldn't donate it. Whatever... That's a good cause, Jer. Good on ya. Those wigs mean a LOT to Cancer patients and survivors. Phill
2010KonaBlueGT
My daughter and I were in Las Vegas for league meetings this past week. <snip.> My daughter and me: I hope you don't feel this is out of line or take it the wrong way but..... Your daughter is really cute. I envy you, and pity you at the same time. I wanted a daughter SO badly when my wife was pregnant with our second child. She had a second boy (two total) which is great too. Now my boys both have daughters so I have two grand daughters and both are really cute/pretty (one is 20, the other is 7). My very best friend in the world (a single mom) has a really cute daughter that just turned 16 and who I am *very* possessive and protective of too. Not that "cute" matters, except for the attention they get from all of the boys, and in some cases, men. After watching my babies grow up into beautiful young Women, I am SOOOO glad I didn't have a daughter...I want to hurt every boy that pays attention to the two older girls! Sometimes they get 'attention' from full grown men (I don't agree with their parents on how they let them dress!) which makes me want to punch 'em in the face. I'd be a *terrible* father to a daughter! She'd be locked up in a high tower until her 21st birthday. Either that or there would be a trail of dead teenage boy corpses leading up to my house. She'd be spoiled ROTTEN too! <lol> It must be true what they say about being a father to a girl vs. a boy..."With a boy you only have ONE penis to worry about. With a girl you have MILLIONS to worry about!" Enjoy that child. They grow up SO fast. Envious, Phill
lbj
I'm not offended in any way. Believe it or not, she's 22. I could not have asked for a more well behaved daughter for the 5 days we were in Vegas. We had a great time in Vegas without one cross word or argument. I know it's hard to believe but it's true. Now, if we are talking about her rebellious teenager years, well, that's a different story. At 22, she is really starting to "get it". I am really proud of the way she handled herself in Vegas. Phill my hair is the same way, so I have to grow it extra long before I donate. there is no way i'd cut my hair and allow it to just be thrown away! not after having it long for so long! When I started at SA, the 20 mile commute at 5:30 am made a short prep time a must, so I cut it off. Our new HQ is right near my house, so I'll probably grow it again. Z-man
Well, then, I guess you don't wanna know! LOL Jer Well then, I give you a lot of credit. I need that 'magic pill' that makes you lose weight while you sleep. I think I could fit that into my schedule. It's not really that I'm gaining much weight (maybe 5 pounds), but I'm at the age that the weight I do have is moving around and taking up residence in my 'gut' region. Anybody know how many calories an hour of 'speed shifting' burns? Z-man
Jer
I'm down 28 pounds, as of today. It has not been fun or easy, but it's well worth it. I would still kill for a pizza, though. LOL Jer
2010KonaBlueGT
Anybody know how many calories an hour of 'speed shifting' burns? That's not measured in Calories Per Hour, that's measured in Gallons Per Hour. Phill
