buffalotr8
I am considering purchasing a used 2011 stripe delete car but I would want to stripe it as soon as I got it. The factory striped cars have the chrome shelby letters obviously on top of the stripe in the rear and was wondering if anyone has striped their cars to be the same? I couldn't imagine a stripe shop cutting around the letters. Do they take off the letters then stick them back on? How about around the fake rear gas cap? Should that come off as well? I hope I made sense! Thanks.
Madlock
It's all double-sided tape. No worries. Just prepare yourself for a good sphincter pucker if you intend to use OE stripes. They don't come cheaply - not even the half-inch segments.
buffalotr8
There must be good aftermarket kits out there?
Madlock
For the broad rally stripes, plenty. For the narrow, accented SVTPP stripes, not so much.

Torched10
interesting site--but it doesnt look like they have 2011 kits yet.The OEM stripes are so expensive IMHO Id have a pro put them on with a guarantee theyll be straightr and parallel.I know i personally tried to stripe a 70GTO--i screwed up so bad that i had to take them off and in so doing took some paint with them. Then had to buy new ones and have a paint shop put them on
Madlock
Yep. It's a $1,500-$2,000 proposition - for cheap, 3M vinyl.
