blk12svt
I never did do any particularly aggresive shifting in my 12 Shelby I recently traded in but would have to describe the feel on the 12 as notchy at best, even when it was new. I just took delivery of a 14 and still haven't done any agressive shifts but the shifter seems very smooth compared to the 12. Did Ford make some improvements or is the 14 smooth just because it's new? I'll never have the car on a drag strip but would like to know I can hit a gear if I so choose someday and had figured a new shifter was in my future. 1 Alibi 2
I replaced the shifter in my 11 because it was vague at best, went with a Barton. The feel of the 14 is greatly improved, if it feels this sure @ 5000 miles, will likely keep it.
MarcInUtah
Lots of people are replacing the '13 & '14 shelbys with either the MGW or Barton shifters. Personally, I like the way mine shifts and wouldn't do it. Now, if your racing at the track on a regular basis, maybe a better shifter is needed. freakshow12
2nd is hard to hit under heavy throttle I find. Even granny shifting it pulls away from most cars anyway. Lol
GallopingFord
I enjoyed the stock shifter in my 2012 and the 2013 is even better.
DubbsFaris
Ditto. I've always upgraded my shifters. Until now. I don't think Ive missed a single shift in the 1850 miles I already have!
glroy
Could be just what I am used to but I find it is too far foward and a bit long of a throw.
Gabed1972
It feels like the shifter shifts much smoother on my 14' compared to previous models I have owned..

VNMSNK
I like the shifter in my '14. It does feel better than what I had in my '12; however, it took a little while to get used to the clutch and the "helper" spring.
6-Speed
Here's a thread that compares the 2013 OEM shifter with those from previous years and also with the FRPP shifter. http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/svt-shelby-gt500-150/953804-tale-two-shifters.html

Tob
Thanks for linking that writeup Ivan. I'm still working to get the Boss 302S solid bushings available to everyone. I should have them installed in my car soon.
