2010 SuperSnake Terlingua Edition?

Recommended Posts

I was browsing Mecum site and came across this car: http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_detail.cfm?LOT_ID=DA0913-165520&entryRow=263&lottype=&startRow=261

the description is:

This 2010 Ford Shelby Super Snake combines all that model’s race-inspired styling and performance with the extra features of the low-production Terlingua Edition package. Number 10 in the SS Terlingua series, this one-owner Shelby stormer delivers a staggering 850 horsepower from its Whipple supercharged 5.4 L 32-valve V-8 engine through a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission. The extensive list of modifixcations and features includes Eibach suspension, Baer 6-piston disc brakes, 20-inch Shelby Alcoa aluminum wheels, full Super Snake body and interior badging, a full roll cage by Shelby Automotive and Carroll Shelby-autographed sun visors. This highly collectible one-owner Super Snake comes with an included Carfax report.

Is there a Terlingua Series SuperSnake, or someone give Mecum the incorrect info?

I don't see anything that says "Terlingua" or "Terlingua Edition" on this car. I see a CSM number for a 2010 Super Snake, I see Super Snake badging, I see Super Snake floor mats, I see Super Snake stripes but nothing that has Terlingua differences. Maybe I am missing something in the pictures?

Look at the windshield banner decal.

This car is a real Super Snake but the Terlingua part is an owner modification.

lol This again? Terlingua Island is like Margaritaville. It is a feeling, a way of life and it is anywhere we wish it to be. Terlingua is in Texas which is where everyone but the heathens will be in a few weeks :D

I saw the banner, but was not able to identify what it said. I would much rather have my "Super Snake" windshield banner. I need to install it someday!!

That car is very familiar to me....

I don't know where Mecum got the idea it was a Terlingua edition, but I seriously doubt it was from the owner. They would never mislead a buyer. And frankly, that car already has some one off items on it Shelby never did for another car. If they were smart, they would be advertising those things.
