Any of you guys and gals that are planning to attend the 80th Bob Bondurant Birthday Celebration will not be dissapointed! Three days of racing, Some Shelby celebrities from the past, a huge car show on Sunday and some pretty significant vintage race cars from years past. I believe there are still some rooms available at Wildhorse Pass Casino in Chandler across the street from the venue! Check out www.marlenmotorsports.com for more details. The weather should be beautiful!

This is shaping up to be a great event! I will be there all day sunday. I'm going to bring my big canopy with sides and my Shelby banner. So anyone who wants to hang out in the shade you are all more than welcome. I hope they have enough room at the car show that we can setup our canopy.

Attended the Bob Bondurant 80th Birthday celebration in Chandler Arizona over the weekend. Besides Bob Bondurant being the guest of honor, Peter Brock, Allen Grant, John Morton and many other former Shelby American employees were in attendance. Also present was Steve Saleen and Drew Alcazar. Click on the link below for some pictures of the event:

I had a great time! Very fun to watch all those amazing vintage cars racing. And the best part? A Mustang won the race over the Corvette! It was cool to see Saleen there as well. Shelby you guys might want to think about showing up to this next year! This event will just get bigger and better. The car show judging? I thought it was a complete joke. SO many nice cars that didn't win over cars that they should have beat. But the judging is a whole different issue. Hopefully they can get that ironed out for next year. But was definitely a very cool event!
