WANTED- GT 500 at Invoice

Recommended Posts

I have a friend that wants to trade his Z 06 Corvette on a NEW GT 500 (hardtop). He will not pay ADM and would prefer to pay invoice if possible. Any dealers on here willing to talk? Or does anyone have contacts with dealers known to sell below MSRP?

The Z 06 may be a trade or may be sold outright and then just buy the GT 500.

Thank you

I actually have several, and I can do MSRP. If I may offer my services please let me know. Two less this week and two new arrived today.

I doubt you'll find a price at invoice any time soon. As long as dealers are selling preorders from allocation at msrp or with a slight discount they will go for that. (Ignore dealers with adms but e left them to see msrp sooner rather than later). Invoice pricing occurs when the x-y-z plan pricing comes on. That happens when dealers have unsold inventory that has been on the books. Either in-model year over production or last years models still on the lot. I doubt you'll see much of that with 2014 gt500s for white a while

Hyperstangs isn't that about how it works?

So one at 2250 under msrp is a pretty good deal right now. You might do better later

As far as z plan Ford decides if a car gets the plan. Then the dealer can decide if they want to offer it to customers. One thing nice about the z plan the dealers in ga don't charge doc fees with the plan. $500 doc fees + $5000 discount on the z plan makes for a great deal. But I would not count on that happening.

Ford's not offering any incentives on GT500's at all. I bought mine as MSRP. Its a specialty car and as such they build them in the quantity that should just match demand. Personally I feel my car was worth every penny. Under MSRP happens, but I wouldn't hold my breath... the oldest GT500 on my lot is 40 days. Just found out I have to get my latest allocation order in today, that will get me back up to 5 units, down from 7 last week.

I order all my units loaded. I have:

Ruby Red w/ Black Stripes

Race Red w/ White Stripes

Dark Sterling Grey w/ Black Stripes (Glass Roof) (Deal Pending)

Ingot Silver (Stripe Delete)

Performance White w/ Blue Stripes (I ordered this car today and could probably still be changed until the end of the week).

All my verts are sold, my first Ingot left today to be wide body Super Snaked.

Im getting low on Raptors, but I still have several black, one red and incoming white.

  • 5 months later...

I just bought a 2014 for $5,540 under MSRP. Fully loaded without the glass roof. We beat each other up for 4 hours to get the deal done. Oh, and this is in CA! It has been the most pleasant dealership to work with. I was dealing on another Shelby with a different dealer and they still wanted MSRP +.

Congratulations... but really it isn't a contest. I sell my cars at MSRP no matter what everyone else is selling them for. Im a hero when they're above, and when they fall below I'm still a hero because I'll still be there when the owners need help. Market is still actually above so you got a sweet deal. Asking for what something is worth isn't a crime. Enjoy it!!

2014 deals are to be had out there now. Any dealer that bought one on floor plan is starting to look at cost vs. return on investment and the model year change and reconsidering. Plus, the Ford "letter" plans will start to kick in. To be honest this is a group that understands the significance of these cars, but we are maybe .01% of the population of possible buyers, and they can't let them sit on the lot. I have seen GT500s move fro the center of the showroom floor to the outside lot in the weather and still have the ADM sticker in the window. These dealers need "Bar Rescue" help.
