Dash Light Question

Recommended Posts

I leave for work early in the mornings and have noticed that every time I turn the headlights on the dash lights are showing Red on the left gauges and Blue on the Right gauges...then after a few seconds, they switch to the My Color Setting that I set up for them...Is this normal or should I have it looked at? Only happens once when I first turn them on...I can turn them off and back on again and the My Color Settings work like they should...I just replaced the battery a month ago with a new Motorcraft battery, so that rules that out...I think...2007 GT500...

If you start the engine before you turn on the lights, the dash lights go to the "red, white & blue" scheme for a few seconds......just to remind you that you're driving a genuine hunk of all American muscle! Mine has done it since new and after a couple of fruitless calls to the service dept. my salesman cleared up the mystery for me. Neat, but totally useless feature, unless you are particularly patriotic........which I am! Enjoy!
