California to New York is in the books. What a blast Marji and I had. So much beauty across our nation that it affirms my belief this is the greatest country in the world.

Now to spend 4 days looking around the city, the Wicked Nationals today, Freedom Tower Memorial Cruise tomorrow and start driving to Dearborn Tuesday for the Ford GT and Team Shelby Events. Making stops at Gettysburg and the Flight 93 Memorial along the way.

I had too. To tell you the truth, I have kind of a crush on Ann! ( wink, wink ). I am pretty sure I am not the first, and certainly not the last either.

What day do you need me to be in New York to drive your car back to the West Coast?

Team Shelby family at it's best............always willing to help out :salute:

She's a looker that's for sure.

Great pictures. The bridge was nice but a gravel road, OMG. :) Must be something about the saying: Happy Wife / Happy Life.

You got that right Harold...........I may want another car someday

Left NYC this morning headed to Dearborn, MI. Visited Gettysburg and the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA.

A very somber day indeed.

Gettysburg National Military Park.

I'm amazed how large the battle fields spread out. Place where Pickett's Charge took place.

Cannons barrels seen were used in the fighting at Gettysburg.

Hundreds of Monuments are seen through out Gettysburg. Here are just a few.

Here are a few pics from Flight 93 Memorial

Entering the Memorial

P1000569_zps0247aee4.jpg

The long walking path that leads to the Wall is quiet and very calming. The emotions start once you start reading the names of the 40 people lost on Flight 93

This gate leads to the spot where Flight 93 went down. The spot is marked by a large boulder. Only family members of the 40 lost can enter there.

Thanks for posting your great pics Dan! By doing so, you saved us a ton of money as your pics are just as good as being there in person... :hysterical2:

Seriously though, your cross country excursion makes for an awesome trip to take in the Shelby, upon retirement. Looks like you guys are enjoying yourselves and the best is yet to come with the Ford GT and Dearborn event.
