stpracer43
The first person I loathe is the stripe installer at the foreign plant. He didn't do his job correctly and the left rear stripe had air bubbles and orange peel. The 2nd person I loathe is the Ford Quality Assurance Inspector who let my car leave in this condition. The 3rd person I loathe is the parts warehouse person who failed to put the correct part (new left rear stripe) in the box before mailing it to the local Ford dealership. The 4th person I am not a real fan of is the stripe installer at the local Ford body shop. He failed to verify he had the correct replacement part before removing the old damaged stripe. And left me with only a half stripe!!! Not sure the how long the "emergency" order for a new stripe will take, but it will be TOO long for sure. Was planning to attend a car show this weekend, but certainly can't show up "half dressed"... Guess I could go to the drag strip instead... being fast is all that matters there! On another note - has anyone been getting any brake fluid leakage/overpressure on the exterior of the reservoir? Keith
Hit Man
Too bad pal, those bubbles have got to be the worst. What is the name of the local body shop that forgot to check the correct order. I bet they get the correct replacement in quickly, hang in there. In the mean time park your GT500 with the nose out. I'll leave off the white shoe polish joke. ELITE 1
I say take the rest of the stripes off the car and you could be my twin :happy feet: :happy feet: Yes, I get some brake fluid on top of the reservoir as well, I notice it more after I have driven it, with lets just say some enthusiasm :burnout:
Grabber
I had the brake fluid leak on my GT/CS. There was too much fluid in it. I also did the fix talked about in this thread. http://www.stangsunleashed.com/forums/inde...=Brake+resovior

Sherri Leicht
brake fluid seep problem has been around for a long time. I have it with my 01 cobra from day 1. always wiping it up. guess i need to keep an eye on the shelby. it is prolly there, too, but it hasn't been driven in the last few days. sorry about your stripe job. just go to the strip and tell them it blew off as you blew by
sprint200
Bummer on the stripes! Hope it is fixed properly & quickly. On the PS fluid we noticed it the day it was delivered, so I put some teflon tape around the cap threads during the PDI and haven't had anymore problems.
