grsybtch
wow thanks i always wondered to but never looked. It bothered the crap out of me at first, but before I did anything about it I guess I got used to it! I do know guys who have put the kit in and are happy with it
Jer
I can vouch that the Starkey kit (red button on OEM Ford filler plate, installs in the console) is well-done and easy to install. They make nice stuff, and are great to deal with. Jer

Jer Does the one you have ever get hit by stuff in your glove box and open. i'm looking at that one or the one with the car on it that looks oem also but requires drilling which i don't want to do. thewheelman
Only time it ever bothered me was when I unlocked the doors, went to get something out of the trunk and promptly locked the keys in the trunk! Would have killed for one that day!
07gt500conv
I looked at the trunk button for my convertible. But realized, when top is down, you can open the trunk. When top is down, I lock valueables in there so an active trunk button defeats the purpose of locking things up.
