Shelby GT Plus Brake System

Recommended Posts

I would like to say yes but they will not. I just purchased the same kit last week and after holding them up to the stock wheels there does not seem to be anyway that these will fit. So now they will sit in the box until I pull the trigger on a new set of Wheels and tires that will fit the brakes. They do look awesome just looking at them though! B)

I'm curious as to how much performance improvement the "Plus" brakes will give? They are two piston, just like stock, so it seems you could get a big improvement in brake performance with just a pad upgrade. Bigger pistons and or rotors?

Of course, the stock brakes don't have "Shelby" on them, so that might be enough reason for some folks!

I noticed a firmer pedal, less pressure required and a shorter stopping distance. That said, only on street application. Have not tracked the car. I am happy with them. I should also not the price was such I could not refuse.
