art4tees Posted May 18, 2013 Report Share Posted May 18, 2013 Just bought an Escort 9500 radar detector and looking at the various mirror mounts and wiring options. Anyone have experience with this? My mirror is the manual adjustment so the power cord would go into the map light assembly. Any advice is appreciated? Something I can do or should I have my Ford dealership install it for me? I had the Escort smart chord wired in and ran the chord up the pillar and tucked it under the front edge of the head liner. Looks great and worked great. Grabber Posted May 18, 2013 Report Share Posted May 18, 2013 This is what you need. It wires in under the floor board by where your left foot would be when you are sitting in the car. I had a stereo shop wire it in. They know exactly what wires to tap it into.
