Gotboost?
Today I received my KR owners supplement from Shelby. According to the manual you open the hood by turning the hood locks 1/4 turn clockwise, then go back and pull the hood latch (inside the car). Then you lift the hood and move the latch to fully open the hood. Does everyone's hood open this way? Mine does not. All I have to do is turn the hood locks 1/4 turn clockwise and then lift the hood as I move the underhood latch. My interior hood latch doesn't seem to function.........it pulls a spring on the hood latch mechanism, but does not release the hood at all. Thanks, David
svtakach62
I have to move the underhood latch to open mine. Sounds like yours is either missing or broken. SVT
The Gunslinger
David, My hood opens exactly as you've described from the KR owners supplement. Your interior hood release must be out of adjustment. David
Gotboost?
I just found an old post that describes the exact problem I am experiencing. The fix is to loosen the 2 bolts holding the latch and move it upwards about 2mm. Hopefully, that will solve it. Thanks, David
Gotboost?
I fixed it. I had to loosen 2 bolts and raise the latch approximately 1/8" to get it to catch the hood.
